- Well, using the SSOktaPatch was a bad idea. I've got an Oktagon A500 SCSI2
- controller, with ALF.device 2.13 (09 Jul 1990) in it, and now, without the
- patch, all floppies written to, any partitions on my drives, written to,
- while that patch is on, read error if I don't have it still there.
-
- This has ruined my ability to use it without having the patch, unfortunately,
- it makes for using OS 1.3 with PC-Task (to get rid of the disk caching),
- quite impossible. I've written Christian, since now I'll have to backup
- all 1.6 gigs without using anything more than serial/parallel devices, since
- writing the data out to something (like floppies), proves useless, since
- reading the floppy back, without the patch, causes read errors. Turning the
- patch on, immediately removes all of the read errors system wide.
